This year, I just wanted to relax and have a nice, homemade breakfast, play outside, and see my mom.
I got all that and so much more! Breakfast, flowers, a mustache, gossip magazines, a DELICIOUS funfetti cake, and some down time...priceless!

| My sweet, sweet husband knows my love of mustaches and walked around all day like this... LOVE IT!! |
Now do I have to have a mullet or mohawk for Father's Day? or bake? We will have to see!
After the park, we took my mom to meet my sister for a little dinner together.
I think I have mentioned once or twice that my mom has set the bar rather high on the whole mothering thing. She is the type that makes every occasion GRAND, we did birthdays and holidays really big! She made each of them really special. She has always worked really hard to make sure that we are involved in a lot of activities (EVERYTHING), that we got to experience life, enjoy vacations, and spent time with family; she also made sure we worked hard, made good choices, and accomplished our dreams. She is also one of those crazy smart moms that does big math in her head, remembers lots of names and dates and is always prepared. Now that I am a mom, she does even MORE for me. She takes care of my son everyday while I work, then does not hesitate to watch him overnight when we are both traveling for work or for a couple of hours when we need a night out - she is literally always there for us. There is no way that I can make her feel as special on Mother's Day as she deserves...
